From Rivera's Groove Box #172: Gemini 27 - Right Baby Do What You Like

Nu Groove baby, yeah! This legendary New York house music label pumped out so many classics in the late 80s and early 90s. Nu Groove brought a harder sound to the house music scene in New York, which was dominated prominently by garage sound. The label released a variety of house styles - deep house, breakbeat, rave, techno, hip house. In recent years, many of the best selling tracks have been re-released, which only shows how influential the label still is.

From Rivera's Groove Box #170: Hieroglyphic Being & The Truth Theory Trio - Keep Your Mind Open

My mind is totally blown by listening to this new jam by Hieroglyphic Being. Totally insane synthesizer action by Jamal Moss - he definitely knows how to work his gear. Distorted, fuzzy and lo-fi sounding, but at the same time very warm and emotional. Has that cosmic techno groove feeling in it. One of my favorite picks of the year.

Using tape loops, Fender rhodes, electric guitar, and electronic drums synthesized with the Moog synthesizer, with a very Beach Boys 'Smiley Smile' feeling. The making of this song demonstrated here: 'Im Not In Love' making of documentary
